Edwardian Parlour & Drawing Room

The Edwardian Parlour and drawing room were an opportunity for the Edwardian homeowner to show the world that he had made something of himself. The more reception rooms he owned, the higher his social status.  The fashion for informal living meant that the idea of a room being saved for best fell out of fashion and parlours became an everyday living room.
